Defining and Measuring Actionable Metrics
Products have so much data today that product teams can quickly get overwhelmed. Analysis paralysis dominates, and teams take no action. They wonder which data matters, what it tells them, where to pay attention, and how to digest and create insights.
Let me be blunt: Having data just for the sake of it is nonsense.
The magic happens when teams can transform data into actionable insights. That’s the discussion we’ll have during this chapter. I won’t give you an extensive list of metrics, because that isn’t the point. But I will share how I define which data to use, when, and how.
