WHAT IS SAP SOFTWARE?
There are several definitions of SAP Software. When people refer to SAP, they mean SAP R/3®, the ERP software package. When SAP released R/3 back in 1992, it was still clear what people meant by SAP software. Besides the mainframe software R/2®, R/3 was the only software SAP shipped in those days. Times have changed. SAP currently delivers a wide range of software and business solutions and packages. The solutions are so-called vertical business oriented, which means that SAP creates solutions for an entire business column, like the food or the telecommunications industry.
