SUPPORT TOOLS
SAP has released many tools over time, which might help you during your upgrade project. Most of these tools are free of license fees. Some of these tools are part of your SAP application; some need to be installed into your SAP system in order to use them.
14.1 ASU (APPLICATION SPECIFIC UPGRADE)
Although most application-related data conversions are handled by the XPRA phase, a couple of steps still need to be done manually by the functional support staff. An example of such a conversion is the report variant, which requires some special attention after the upgrade. To help automating this task, SAP has developed the “ASU Toolbox,” which consists of a set ABAP reports and programs to run such conversions.
