THE DIRECTION OF SAP
This chapter takes a closer look at what the future might look like with respect to SAP applications, and what infrastructures will be at our disposal. It will emphasize the future trends in general and SAP in specific, for both business and technology. Everybody wants to know what the future might bring, especially what the stock market is going to do. Unfortunately, that is not possible; however, what is possible to predict are certain trends in the IT industry and how they can be leveraged in business processes. Such trends should be incorporated into the SAP upgrade plans and roadmaps.
