Chapter 2. Using Patterns and Blueprints in Use-Case Model Development

This chapter examines the development of a use-case model for a small Internet bank. The main purpose is to illustrate how the patterns and blueprints in this book can be used for identification of use cases, for structuring the use-case model, and for describing use cases. This chapter explains how useful common solutions actually are, even in very simple use-case models, and how much is to be gained by having knowledge about them. Our intention is not to give a complete understanding of the applied patterns and blueprints, and certainly not to describe the ideal Internet bank, but to provide an appetizer and introduction to the subject.
