9. Displaying Google Earth Driving Directions
Learn how to map a route with Google Earth—and get a 3D tour of that route.
Google Earth is great for looking at places and finding information about those places. But you can also use Google Earth to map driving directions, just as you can with Google Maps.
The big difference in using Google Earth for this purpose is that your directions are mapped in a 3D view, so you can get more of a birds-eye view of where you’ll be driving. In addition, and even more fun, Google Earth actually lets you “drive” your route—in full three dimensional glory.
Getting Directions
It’s actually quite easy to generate directions in Google Earth. Just follow these steps:
