20. Monitoring Your Campaign’s Performance

Once your AdWords campaign is started, it’s time to start tracking its performance. That means looking at raw data, such as clicks, as well as analyzing that data in various ways.

Performance analysis is key to improving your AdWords campaigns. You can learn from both your successes and your failures, and use this information to create better-performing campaigns in the future.

Monitoring from the AdWords Dashboard

Much of the raw data regarding your AdWords campaigns can be found on your main AdWords page, what we’ll call the dashboard. You can monitor performance at the campaign, ad group, or individual ad level; you can also monitor the performance of the individual keywords you select.
