258 Using IBM Application Development Tools for z/OS and OS/390
9.1 Overview
This example uses the FBIIPLRE PL/I example from the Application Monitor IVP, and
monitors its execution using option 2 of the primary option menu - Analyze a Specified Job.
9.2 Setting the defaults
Setting the defaults for this example is much simpler than for the COBOL example given in
“Application Monitor and COBOL” on page 241. This is because the Analyze a Specified Job
panel allows you to specify all the “default” values except the language listing data sets. So
the only thing we need to set in the default panels is the PL/I listing data set.
1. To do this, we select option 6 to get to the Default menu as shown in Figure 9-1.

2. Then we select option 2 to get to the Default Data Set Name panel as shown in Figure 9-2.

3. At the default data set name panel, we quickly fill out our PL/I listing data set name.
4. Select option 3 because we wish to save the data as shown in Figure 9-3.
5. Press the Enter key to trigger the actual saving.
