6 Relating the Information in Your Database
Using Access 2010 you can relate the tables in your database.
A relationship exists between two tables when one or more key fields from one table are matched to one or more key fields in another table. The fields in both tables usually have the same name, data type, and size. This chapter first introduces you to relational database design. You will then learn the types of relationships available in Access, and how to establish those relationships. Finally, you’ll learn how to establish referential integrity between the tables in your database.
