So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
12. Managing Multimedia with WordPress
This chapter covers how to use the built-in media manager in WordPress and other sites to manage all your multimedia effectively.
Blogs and multimedia go together like peanut butter and jelly. One of the challenges with multimedia is managing it. Not only are the files rather large, video files especially, but also each type of file has its own quirks that make it even more fun to deal with. (Note the sarcasm in this introduction.) Sometimes I wonder, as I’m trying to get a podcast to upload, a video to embed, or a hi-res picture show lo-res on the blog but link to the hi-res, if just having a completely image-free, text-only blog might be a good idea.
