The English activist and poet John Milton once wrote, “The mind is its own place, and in it self, can make a Heav’n of Hell, a Hell of Heav’n.”1 He composed these words in his epic poem Paradise Lost . Through his writings, Milton gave us one of the finest observations about human perception, as well as UX: what we experience is what we perceive.
