Abstract

Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) was established in 1984. ICBC is the largest bank in China. The bank has a presence in 39 countries spanning six continents and provides a wide range of products and services to over 4.38 million corporate customers and 393 million personal customers. The bank has a wide distribution network consisting of 17,125 domestic institutions, 383 overseas institutions, and 1771 correspondent banks worldwide. By 2012, the bank had approximately 315 million e-banking customers with annual transactions that amounted to RMB332.6 trillion.
