Abstract: This paper is a companion paper to [8] wherein a second-order image decomposition model to perform denoising and texture extraction was studied. Herein, we perform some numerical experimentation to make the behavior of the model as clear as possible. For highly textured images the model gives a two-scale texture decomposition.
