Ten years ago, when the previous edition of this book was written, it was already established that video was a major part of our lives. Nothing has stopped this from being true, and in fact we are continually finding ways to make it an integral part of our daily lives. Digital video, compressed or otherwise, is all about bits. It seems like it should be easy to move those bits from one place to another, and yet it isn’t. A myriad of little settings, tweaks, steps, and reasons make the process of moving video from one medium to another a frustration.
