I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Video Resolutions (Compression Ratios)
Before digitizing you need to choose a video resolution. Your choice will depend on whether you are offlining or onlining, how much material you have and how much storage is available on your system. Avid’s resolutions are described differently depending on whether you are using an Avid Broadcast Video Board (ABVB) system (Media Composer v7 and Xpress v2) or the Meridien hardware (later versions).
