2D Video Effects |
Video effects on Avid can mean many things. At one extreme is the simple transition effect (a dissolve or wipe from one clip to another) while at the other, a clip may be colour-corrected, be resized and moved, played at a different speed and be keyed over a different background. Most of the controls are fairly straightforward and logical and the skilled editor can bring various effects together to construct complex composites.
Most current Avid systems will play two video streams, in real time, providing that the right combination of drives or drive striping for the chosen video compression is used.
