Chapter 16. Backup and Archiving
So we Find Ourselves at the end of the line—for this book and for a project that you created. You’ve put in a ton of effort on the project, your client loved it, and you feel satisfied, but now what? Well, if you’re like a lot of people, you simply move on to the next project with little regard to backing up or archiving a project.
We should be clear about what we mean by backup as opposed to what we mean by archiving. When we talk about backup we’re referring to the process in which project files, media, and other associated project assets (like scripts, workflow diagrams, etc.) are backed up to avoid data loss during an ongoing project.
