8.0 INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE
Information systems security has never been more critical.1 At the same time, protection of information systems is increasingly complex. As AV facilities reinvent their service infrastructure to meet business demands, traditional boundaries are disappearing. The cyber security threats lurking outside those traditional boundaries are real and well documented. Security by exclusion is both more necessary and more difficult, but at the same time not sufficient. The enterprise must also practice security by inclusion to allow access to the services that field offices, customers, suppliers, and business partners are demanding.
