Flash-based video offers a wide range of options for you to employ on and off the Internet. Unlike every other Web video format, the video formats supported by Flash Player are not simply ones that play in an audio/video player like Windows Media, QuickTime, and Real Player formats do, with limited interactivity. Because Flash-based video is treated like any other external asset to Flash Player, you need to create your own video player in ActionScript or use a preexisting component or library in order to control a video experience.
