For years, many information technology solutions have been pigeonholed as siloed applications, resulting in myriad negative experiences for those businesses that leverage custom-built software applications. Organizations often cite poor alignment with the business¹ as a primary reason why they find custom business software applications out of sync with the business.^{2, 3, 4}
