Modes of Work-Related Communication

Users of virtual worlds communicate with each other both inside and outside the simulated environments. There are essentially always multiple internal forms of text communication, including delayed communication e-mail and multiple real-time chat channels devoted to different numbers and categories of people. Whereas a few MMOs offer internal voice communication, typically external voice channels are used, such as Skype, Mumble, or Discord.
