Configuring VM Network Options
Each of the three connection types is associated with one of the default virtual adapters on the host system. Virtual machines that are configured with a host-only network connection are tied to the VMnet1 virtual adapter. Virtual machines that are configured with a NAT connection are tied to the VMnet8 virtual adapter. Virtual machines with bridged connections are tied to the VMnet0 virtual adapter. You’ve seen both the VMnet1 and VMnet8 adapters, but not the VMnet0 adapter.
