It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

The installation and management of a Hadoop ecosystem is a journey, not a destination. The Hadoop ecosystem is constantly evolving; customers are looking at using Hadoop-as-a-Service and aligning their big data strategies with their cloud strategies. Customers are going to leverage automated installs with different management tools, but someone still needs to make sure all the individual components, such as the Linux operating system, are installed and optimized for running Hadoop and its components.
