Mutual understanding, alignment, and ownership aren't given to the participants through presentations. Rather, they are achieved by participants in the meeting—in a small meeting through simple open conversation, and in a large or very large meeting through a two-level convergent process that focuses on creating and completing Virtuous Engagement Cycles in the various agenda segments.
