Like the user interface for most applications, Visio menus, toolbars, and keyboard shortcuts provide easy access to commonly used commands. By default, Visio tries to help by displaying the commands you use most frequently and hiding the ones you don't. If you don't care for hand-holding, you can show full menus at all times.
Although many people never venture beyond the standard menus and toolbars that Visio offers, it's actually easy to set up menus and toolbars that display only the commands you want in the order you prefer. If the keyboard is your tool of choice, you can assign keyboard shortcuts so you can execute commands without switching between keyboard and mouse.
