IN THIS CHAPTER
Using Visio help resources
Exploring other sources of Visio assistance
So many Visio features are intuitive; you could go for months without needing any help at all. Even so, the Visio shortcuts and special features make it worthwhile learning about what Visio has to offer. And once in a while, even an easy-to-use program like Visio can have you scrambling for a second opinion.
This chapter starts with explaining how you can make the most of the help that is available in Visio. You'll also learn about additional online resources including web sites and Visio blogs. Finally, you'll discover how to use message boards to obtain answers from Visio experts as well as your diagramming peers.
When you access Visio help by any means, Visio takes you to the Microsoft online help by default. Online help provides the most up-to-date information, but timeliness might take a back seat to raw speed, if you have a slow Internet connection. If you are offline or use your dial-up connection sparingly, Visio can search the help topics stored on your computer until you tell it to go online.
