Chapter 26. Graphics Programming

This chapter explores the graphics capabilities provided by the Microsoft .NET Framework. For most Visual Basic programmers, this chapter may not be of any use. This is because the graphical support that is most needed by programmers is already provided by a broad set of controls that can be used to build interesting applications.

However, for those readers who are interested in understanding and even building more sophisticated user interfaces, this chapter provides a very good introduction to GDI+. GDI+ is Microsoft's successor to GDI (Graphics Device Interface) and is provided with the Microsoft .NET Framework.
