In this chapter you’ll learn how to use the Paintbrush tool; embellish path edges with shapes, objects, and textures using Calligraphic, Scatter, Art, and Pattern brushes; create and edit custom brushes; add, modify, and remove brush strokes from existing paths; open and create brush libraries; and duplicate, move, and delete brushes from the Brushes palette.
Using Brushes
Illustrator’s brushes let you draw variable, freehand brush strokes or apply a pattern or objects to a path with all the advantages of vector graphics—small file sizes, resizability, and crisp output.
