Chapter 30. Actions
In this chapter you’ll learn how to record a sequence of edits and commands in an action, edit an action in various ways, and replay an action on one document or on a whole batch of documents.
Using the Actions Palette
An action is a recorded sequence of tool and menu events. When an action is replayed, the recorded commands are executed in exactly the same sequence in which they were recorded. Actions can be simple (as short as a single command) or complex—whatever your work demands. They can be replayed on any Illustrator document, and can be edited, reorganized, and traded around among Illustrator users.
