Chapter 33. Export

In this chapter you’ll learn how to save files in the EPS and PDF formats; export files in the Flash (swf), JPEG, and other formats; and learn about options for exporting Illustrator files to Photoshop.

Not all applications can read files in the native Illustrator Document (.ai) format, and no preview options are available for this format. To prepare an Illustrator file for export to a page layout application or another drawing application, you need to save it in either the Illustrator EPS format or the PDF format. We’ll discuss EPS first.
