I have never met a woman who is not strong.
I believe there is an inherent strength in every woman. A fearlessness. A leader. Though too often, due to society or circumstance, it takes a tragedy for a woman to realize her power, to truly grasp what she is capable of. Too often it takes adversity to unleash what is always there.
I was raised by a woman with an unbreakable will. Above all else, she was, as every woman at one time or another discovers herself to be, a survivor. My mother endured the injustice and indignity of the Holocaust with grace and resilience. She taught me that “fear is not an option.”
