Chapter 7. Managing Host Systems
The HostSystem
is the managed object that models the physical host and ESX. It provides management interfaces to the platform where the virtual machines run. This chapter first introduces the HostSystem
with its properties and methods. It then covers host power management, memory management, connection management, configuration management, patch management, time management, diagnostic partition management, and so on.
This chapter covers all the aspects of host management except networking and storage management, which are discussed in later chapters.
