Chapter 7. Monitoring Your Virtual Environment
Now that your virtual environment is configured and populated, you will want to monitor it both for performance and for problems. The root cause of performance issues is often not very obvious and can have a ripple effect on many VMs and host servers. Therefore, you should both configure monitoring in your environment and understand the metrics and data that are being reported so that you can proactively take steps to eliminate bottlenecks and problems. You may also want to look into some of the many third-party monitoring and reporting tools that are available.
