Preparing database connectivity for VUM
Before you install VUM, you need to decide whether to use an existing or separate database server or use the installer-packaged SQL Express. The installer-packaged SQL Express is only recommended for nonproduction environments. Most environments will already have a DB server hosting other databases. You could either choose to host the VUM database on the existing DB server or install and configure a new DB server.
