23.1 What Is EVC Mode and Its Purpose?

VMware Enhanced vMotion Compatibility (EVC) mode is a feature that helps ensure that virtual machines can be moved from one host server to another without compatibility issues. It does this by creating a baseline of CPU features that all hosts in a cluster must adhere to.
