Daily operations are affected by and will affect the security of your virtualization environment. They are affected by security through the restriction of access to the physical resources in use, in this case VMware ESX or ESXi hosts, while allowing everyday tasks to occur. Daily operations affect security by at times apparently weakening an otherwise secure environment to allow these tasks to take place. Daily operations force a give and take within the realm of security. It should not eliminate security, but it should not be overly hampered by security.
