RSVP

As its name implies, the resource reservation protocol (RSVP) is used to reserve resources for a session in an Internet. This aspect of the Internet is quite different to the underlying design intent of the system, which as we learned earlier, was established to support only a best effort service, without regard to predefined requirements for the user application.
