8.4. Monitoring and Troubleshooting Using CLI
Section 8.2 looked at configuring VRRP. But once configured, a user might want to make sure that the configuration went through correctly and the system accepted the configuration. This is especially important in the case of VRRP, since multiple physical routers need to be identically configured. Moreover, a user might want to review additional VRRP-related statistics or per-interface information for troubleshooting and/or identifying misconfiguration in a network. In most CLIs, this is generally done through “show” commands. Below are some examples of show commands present and the kinds of display data that would be useful to the user.
