Atmospheres

Why is it that in so many movies, the sky is dark and cloudy if not raining during a funeral? Why is there always a beautiful, blue sky and shining sun for a happy ending? Or a sunset to ride off into? Even though the weather doesn't cooperate like that in real life, we definitely have emotional reactions to what it does. If you've created a bleak landscape, a blue sky with puffy clouds might look a little odd even if it does happen.
