A wise old relationship expert once commented that the secret to a happy marriage wasn't endurance but good management. When two people commit to spend their lives together they are entering into years of decision making, negotiating, and problem solving.

This chapter is for everyone, whether you are in a satisfying marriage, a turbulent marriage, living with somebody, or dating. We all come with baggage—old relationships, a few skeletons, insecurities, and last but not least, our families. Sometimes you're lucky and the relationship moves along swimmingly.
