Creating Tables
As you progress through this book, you’ll see that wireless applications are great for receiving information from a larger application or database server. However, receiving this information means having it presented to the user in a manner that is both intuitive and readable. Tables have proven to be extremely useful in the display of information to users in such a manner.
At the time of this writing, WML handles tables in only the simplest formats. To that end, many WML browsers do not even support tables, and some often produce errors or ignore the display of data altogether. However, table functionality within WML is important, and will undoubtedly improve with each specification of the WML language.
