Assigning Events to Device Buttons
Up to this point, you’ve looked at creating hypertext links within applications. However, WAP devices also contain the capability to incorporate other navigational functionality into your applications. Two WML elements are available for creating navigational events besides the ANCHOR element. They are as follows:
The DO element— Provides the capability to incorporate functionality into your WAP applications through a WAP device’s user interface (such as the device buttons).
The ONEVENT element— Provides the capability to incorporate functionality into your WAP application through intrinsic events (such as internal processing events).
