Color Theory Basics
Carrot Color Wheel
Color theory can be confusing, so I want to make it as fun as possible for you. We’ll look at a carrot color wheel (because carrots are good for you and they come in many different colors).
Color theory plays a role when we try to mix colors and create compositions. Some colors play together really well (meaning they bring out the best in each other) while other color combinations not so much. Knowing the basics will help you make the best decisions until they will become second nature and you will intuitively know what colors look good together.
One thing to note: There are never truly any pure colors out there. They will either lean toward warmer or cooler temperatures.
