Putting it together

If a theory explains something, then it can be applied to stop it from going wrong. In this section, I employ a kind of ‘muscular philosophy’ to characterise a strategy of using the constructivist and critical theories we have discussed previously to design implementation methodologies to make Web 2.0 work. These perspectives would normally be thought to be too ‘academic’ and unwieldy for practical purposes, but if technology projects continue to disappoint, then perhaps, as Plato suggests, we need to find alternative ways of looking at things. So this section is a step-by-step approach for assessing and preparing the ground for the planting of the Web 2.0 seed.
