This chapter describes a best practices approach for building reusable TIBCO General Interface components. Detailed instructions are included on how to build and use such components.
Often it is necessary to create common components that can be used in multiple applications within an enterprise. You can create simple widgets using the visual designer and save them as components that can be used in any application. In Chapter 5, “Component Gallery,” you saw that General Interface components have many properties that are editable in the GI Builder. Just as you create complete User Interfaces with GI Builder, you can also create components using the GI Builder.
