I’m acutely aware that a single book cannot conceivably do justice to the scale of the global phenomenon of web radio. In the act of naming particular stations and sites and pointing them out as examples, I am neglecting many hundreds equally worthy of inclusion. So I would first like to acknowledge here the efforts of anyone who is expending their time and their enthusiasm for the medium of radio in this online experiment.
