Overview
At this writing, Google (http://www.google.com) is the most popular full-text search engine out there. It processes millions upon millions of search requests today and indexes over four billion Web pages. It also indexes other file types, like PDF (Adobe Acrobat), DOC (Microsoft Word), and PPT (PowerPoint). Google will return up to a thousand results for a query and limits a search query to ten words.
Boolean Modifiers
Google defaults to AND. Its Boolean modifiers include + (must include), - (must not include), | (or), and ~ (synonym). Phrases are indicated with quotes.
