The U.S. is one country, so there's just one Web site you have to know about for searching country information, right? Yes and no; on one hand, the U.S. government has established a great clearing house for government Web sites with their site FirstGov. On the other hand, plenty of other folks have tried to map essential U.S. government Web sites too, and some of those resources are very good as well.
