It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 8. Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration (UDDI)
This chapter covers the Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration (UDDI) specifications and associated documents, focusing on UDDI version 3 [UDDI301], which is the most recent UDDI version.
The chapter begins with a brief history of the development of UDDI, followed by a description of the role of a service registry like UDDI in service-oriented architectures (SOA) and the WS Stack and a summary of the motivation for UDDI.
The majority of this chapter looks at the architectural concepts of UDDI, including the UDDI data model and how it is used to model WSDL descriptions, in addition to the UDDI architecture and APIs.
