23.4. WebSphere log files
WebSphere keeps logs. Both logs entries and trace entries (discussed in the next section) have the same format.
WebSphere V3.5 generates runtime log files in the <WAS_HOME>/logs directory (by default).
Table 53 describes the files. Logs produced when installing WebSphere are created in platform-specifc locations; these are also described in Table 53. If you are deploying on HP-UX platforms you should note the special treatment of installation logs on that platform.
